French house mainstay Franck Roger is back on Season Limited, a label he has often worked with in the past – in both EP but also LP form, having dropped his We Walk To Dance here back in 2005. This one kicks off with ‘I’m Dreamin’, a perfectly seductive slice of deep house with late-night chord work and warm, loved-up vibes. ‘Phazer’ then keeps things deep with another subtly mix of woodblock hits and shakers, pillowy drums and undulating pads. Last but not least is another stripped-back but evocative sound with ‘Boyd Track’ playing with toms, snaking sub bass and garage-tinged percussive skip. A hugely stylish EP from this house master.
